ASCO plans US$20 million aircraft components factory in Danang
The Belgian manufacturer could raise its investment to US$100 million through expansion, with operations expected to start in 2027.

Belgian aircraft components manufacturer ASCO Industries plans an initial investment of US$20 million for a factory in Danang, Vietnam. Chief executive Jerome Morhet outlined the proposal during talks in Brussels with Nguyen Manh Hung, chairman of the Danang People’s Committee.
The proposed facility would cover 6,000 square metres under a July 2026 agreement between ASCO and the Danang-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority (DSEZA). Investment could eventually reach US$100 million, and the plant is expected to start operating in 2027.
Morhet is scheduled to hold further discussions with DSEZA officials in early December 2026 to move the factory plan forward. ASCO manufactures high-precision aircraft structures and components.
Hung asked DSEZA to work with the company on implementing the agreement and the Brussels discussions, with a report due to the city mayor before November 15, 2026. The talks accompanied a high-level meeting involving Vietnamese officials and European businesses on investment cooperation and Danang’s aerospace industry.
According to the municipal government, Danang drew US$681.55 million in foreign investment during January-September 2026. That included US$522.2 million of newly registered capital spread across 100 projects. The city has 1,162 foreign-invested projects, representing total registered capital of US$11.28 billion.
