Ho Chi Minh City forum puts investment and green transition on agenda
The Autumn Economic Forum brings together 500 business executives, with an October 28 dialogue planned between Vietnam’s prime minister and the World Economic Forum’s chief executive.

Investment, supply chains and technological cooperation are on the agenda at the Autumn Economic Forum 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, running from October 26 to 29. Senior leaders and academics are attending alongside 500 business executives.
Hosted by the municipal People’s Committee, the gathering is organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Ho Chi Minh City C4IR) with the World Economic Forum. C4IR director Le Truong Duy said it aims to attract financing and technology while strengthening multilateral dialogue and supply chains.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung is due at the October 28 plenary, which will include representatives and leaders from eight countries, as well as the United Nations and European Union. A 60-minute conversation with the World Economic Forum’s chief executive will follow, focusing on Vietnam’s future position globally.
An opening-day conference examined ways to turn sustainable consumption and production targets into measurable, scalable projects and business models. Discussions covered linking digital tools to environmental objectives, including lower emissions, better resource use and greater value-chain transparency. Participants also addressed financing, data, policy and business capacity.
The city’s Investment and Trade Promotion Centre also launched the fourth Ho Chi Minh City Green Growth Exhibition on October 26. Located on Nguyen Hue Street in Saigon Ward, it continues until October 29, displaying technologies, services and products supporting sustainability and digital transformation.
