VinaCapital and A.P. Moller Capital sign Vietnam logistics MoU
Potential projects include expanding ALS Cargo Terminal operations to Gia Binh and Long Thanh international airports.

VinaCapital and A.P. Moller Capital have signed a memorandum of understanding in Copenhagen covering possible joint investments in Vietnam’s transport infrastructure, logistics and air cargo sectors. The signing took place during a state visit by To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President.
Among the options is expanding the air cargo terminal business of ALS Cargo Terminal JSC (ALSC) to two airports: Gia Binh International Airport, being built near Hanoi, and Long Thanh International Airport near Ho Chi Minh City. Both airports aim to serve as regional air cargo hubs. The agreement follows A.P. Moller Capital’s investment in ALSC in 2025.
The companies also intend to increase exchanges on technology, operations, sustainability and governance. Le Viet Hai, Deputy Managing Director of VinaCapital’s Logistics Fund, said logistics was important to Vietnam’s role as a global manufacturing hub and its ambition for double-digit GDP growth in the coming years.
Jens Thomassen, a Partner at A.P. Moller Capital, said expanding trade between Vietnam and overseas markets offered opportunities. He said the firm planned to use its international transport and logistics experience, alongside its local partner network, to pursue further cooperation and investments in Vietnam and the wider region.
