Vietnam plans to unveil 12 investment projects on October 28 at the Autumn Economic Forum 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City. Organising committee member Le Truong Duy said newly registered capital for the projects would exceed US$13 billion, with participation from both Vietnamese businesses and overseas investors.

Duy, who heads the Vietnam Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC C4IR), said the announcement would come after a high-level plenary. A dialogue lasting 60 minutes between Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and senior World Economic Forum (WEF) leaders would also precede it.

Another expected announcement concerns the first 10 members of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Separately, negotiations between the city and the WEF on a joint statement are in their final stages. The statement is intended to help draw international resources towards the city's double-digit economic growth goal, with a vision to 2030.

Duy said four priorities were proposed for that statement: international capital flows, foreign direct investment, science and technology, and international research and development networks.

The Ho Chi Minh City administration is hosting the four-day forum under the prime minister's direction, while HCMC C4IR handles implementation. The main sessions on October 27 and 28 will carry WEF co-branding. Organisers anticipate more than 1,500 delegates from Vietnam and abroad, with around 300 presentations across a programme comprising 16 thematic sessions and three high-level sessions.
