SNT Global Logistics Sdn Bhd has unveiled a RM80 million smart warehouse spanning 175,000 sq ft in Shah Alam. The facility brings together robotics, artificial intelligence and automation to support inventory handling and order fulfilment.

The technologies work alongside warehouse management software developed by SNT, covering stock management, the movement of goods, sorting and fulfilment. According to the company, the systems deliver a 50 per cent improvement in operational efficiency and a 100 per cent increase in fulfilment throughput.

SNT said its integrated network enables businesses to process both online and offline orders using one logistics provider, reducing coordination with multiple operators. Founder and chief executive officer David Wong said the company's aim went beyond larger warehouses and higher goods volumes to improving fulfilment standards in Malaysia.

The facility has been awarded GreenRE gold certification for its design. It incorporates solar energy, rainwater harvesting, systems that conserve water and environmentally friendly construction materials. These features are intended to limit resource consumption and the warehouse's environmental footprint.
