Selat Lampa Port in Indonesia’s Natuna district has been assigned a port code, advancing efforts to enable international trade at the facility, the district government said. District Head Cen Sui Lan said the Transportation Ministry’s Sea Transportation Directorate had confirmed the code’s issuance.

Located in Pulau Tiga Subdistrict, the port received Transportation Ministry approval for export and import activities in July 2025. Work to develop it into an international trade gateway has been under way for several years.

Port improvements are under construction. The Natuna administration had proposed upgrades involving more than Rp20 billion in central government funding.

Natuna has also set up a Certificate of Origin Issuing Agency (IPSKA), authorised by the trade minister to certify the origin of Indonesian export goods. The trade minister inaugurated it online on June 25, 2026, together with counterpart agencies across the country.

Cen said the code, infrastructure improvements and export documentation services could support Natuna’s leading commodities and deepen trading connections in Indonesia’s border region.
