Indonesia to schedule talks on Jakarta's Rp3.5 trillion bond proposal
Jakarta is aiming to issue the regional bonds in June 2027, with a planned maximum tenor of seven years.

Indonesia's government will schedule discussions with Jakarta's provincial administration about its regional bond proposal, Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara said. Governor Pramono Anung has set a target of issuing Rp3.5 trillion in June 2027.
Responding to a question about a possible meeting with Pramono on 26 October 2026, Suahasil said scheduling was still required. He gave neither a date for the discussions nor specifics about their agenda.
The provincial government plans to time the issuance with Jakarta's five-century anniversary. It expects the bonds to provide an alternative way to finance infrastructure development and improvements to public services.
Pramono said the bond plan had been proposed in the general budget policy and provisional budget priorities and ceilings, known as KUA-PPAS, for the 2027 regional budget. The proposed bonds would carry a tenor of no more than seven years, while the coupon would be set taking account of financial market conditions when they are issued.
