Indonesia’s PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV PalmCo) is widening its direct exports of crude palm oil and reducing production expenses as it pursues its operational and financial goals for 2026, President Director Jatmiko K. Santosa said.

At a leadership meeting for the fourth quarter, the company identified export expansion, tighter cost controls and precision management of plantations as priorities. Jatmiko said production would be monitored closely during the final two months of the year, alongside efficiency measures intended to maintain profitability and competitive costs.

Jatmiko said direct exports had opened up market access, but success required dependable supply, production supervision and quality checks covering processing and logistics. PalmCo is using its Go Lean and Go Secure programmes to lower cash costs and support its financial position.

The company is also seeking to establish physical control over all its assets and finish the associated legal paperwork to limit operational risks. Its efforts to generate more value from palm oil waste include methane capture facilities and increased sales of palm kernel shells.

President Commissioner Desrial said productivity per hectare and the allocation of costs would become more important measures for plantation companies than landholding size. He called for smart plantation systems linking mechanised field operations with corporate digital platforms.
