Philippine peso hits record low of ₱64 against US dollar
The currency opened at ₱63.95 per US$1, matching the previous session’s record closing low.

The Philippine peso reached ₱64 per US$1 during trading on October 27, 2026, setting another record low, GMA News reported.
Trading began at ₱63.95 per US$1, unchanged from the record low recorded at Monday’s close. The peso’s strongest intraday level was ₱63.93 per US$1.
GMA News said this was the currency’s 32nd record low this year. It linked the decline to rising global crude oil prices amid the Middle East war, which it said was increasing demand for US dollars. Hawkish signals from the US Federal Reserve also supported the dollar, the broadcaster reported.
