Menara Tun Perak offered for full or partial sale
The former Maybank headquarters in Kuala Lumpur is being marketed without a disclosed asking price, following the bank’s move to Merdeka 118.

Investors are reportedly being offered all or part of Menara Tun Perak, Maybank’s former headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. A sponsored announcement on property news website Mingtiandi outlined the proposed sale but did not disclose an asking price.
Knight Frank Malaysia and CBRE|WTW have reportedly been named joint advisers for the transaction. The announcement identified several possible uses: continuing commercial operations, refurbishing the tower, or converting it to a hotel, serviced accommodation or a mixed-use property. Those options would depend on feasibility studies and regulatory approvals.
The proposed disposal follows Maybank’s relocation to Merdeka 118 on May 6, after nearly four decades at the old tower. On July 28, the bank announced the names Menara Merdeka Maybank for its new headquarters and Menara Tun Perak for its former base.
Completed in 1988, the 244-metre tower stands on Jalan Tun Perak. The marketing highlights its proximity to Chinatown, Central Market, Dataran Merdeka and public transport stations.
