Ekovest Holdings signs RM1.02 billion financing deal with MBSB banks
MBSB Bank will finance the facility, while MBSB Investment Bank will arrange it and handle agency roles.

A RM1.02 billion loan signed by Ekovest Holdings Sdn Bhd with two MBSB banks is intended to support corporate exercises, infrastructure work and property developments. The banks involved are MBSB Bank Bhd and MBSB Investment Bank Bhd.
MBSB Bank is to supply the financing under the agreement. The investment bank’s responsibilities cover the facility and security agency roles, as well as acting as mandated lead arranger.
Tan Sri Lim Kang Hoo owns Ekovest Holdings outright and chairs Ekovest Bhd as executive chairman. Lim said the facility would enable corporate exercises designed to strengthen investee companies’ capital positions, alongside financing infrastructure and property projects.
Rafe Haneef, MBSB group chief executive officer, said the financing would help Lim pursue growth plans and deliver projects. The transaction follows earlier cooperation: MBSB Investment Bank participated in setting up Ekovest Bhd’s sukuk programme in 2021, carrying a nominal value capped at RM1.3 billion.
