Jollibee identifies over 1,500 potential expansion areas in the Philippines
About 71% of the prospective markets are outside Metro Manila, but the company says store openings will depend on sites, viability and investment returns.

Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) has earmarked more than 1,500 Philippine trade areas as possible expansion markets for 2027 to 2030. In an October 29 disclosure, the company said approximately 71% were outside Metro Manila, with opportunities for its Jollibee, Mang Inasal and Chowking brands.
The identified areas are not a commitment to open that many outlets. JFC has not provided locations, investment costs or yearly opening targets, and said decisions would depend on available sites, commercial viability and expected returns.
Together, the three brands generate nearly 90% of JFC’s Philippine systemwide sales; Jollibee accounts for 62%. The Philippine business recorded systemwide sales growth of 5.7% in Q2 2026, while sales at existing stores increased 1.3%.
In its updated full-year guidance for Q2 2026, JFC lowered its worldwide store-opening target to 1,000 to 1,100, from 1,200 to 1,300. It also reported that Mang Inasal’s eight drive-thru outlets operating in the first half of 2026 had average daily sales approximately 40% above those of its other stores.
Separately, JFC is preparing to separate its overseas operations into Jollibee Foods Corporation International, with a possible Hong Kong listing by late 2027. Its Philippine business would retain its Philippine Stock Exchange listing. The proposed transaction depends on restructuring, market conditions and regulatory approvals; JFC said on October 20 that reports pointing to Q3 2027 were premature.
