Indonesia’s IHSG falls 1.49% in early trading
The index extended its opening losses, while Indonesia’s financial stability committee said the financial system remained stable in the third quarter.

Indonesia’s benchmark IHSG stock index dropped to 4,831.14 in early trading on 4 November 2026, down 73.15 points or 1.49%. It had opened at 4,856.96, a decline of 47.33 points or 0.97%.
The reading at 09.00 WIB was slightly above the session low of 4,828.92, where the loss was around 1.54%. Early trading volume reached 11.58 million lots, with transactions worth Rp293.31 billion.
Separately, the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) assessed that Indonesia’s financial system remained stable during the third quarter of 2026. It said pressures increased entering October because of escalating geopolitical tensions, higher energy prices, tight liquidity and domestic stock market volatility linked to concerns over MSCI.
KSSK reported cumulative net foreign capital inflows of US$13.23 billion from January to 23 October 2026. The government continued to expect economic growth of 5.4–5.5% in 2026, supported by household consumption, government stimulus and exports. The committee said it would strengthen policy coordination to maintain financial stability amid domestic and global risks.
