Indonesia’s energy and minerals sector generated Rp127.74 trillion in non-tax receipts during January–October 2026, against a full-year budget goal of Rp133.63 trillion, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said.

Higher export earnings from commodities supported the revenue increase even as shipment volumes declined, Bahlil said. He delivered the figures to President Prabowo Subianto at a plenary cabinet session reviewing two years of the administration’s policy implementation.

Coal shipments dropped to 343 million tons in January–September 2026 from 374 million tons a year earlier. Earnings from those exports nevertheless rose to US$23.71 billion, compared with approximately US$21 billion. Nickel export earnings reached approximately US$24.55 billion through August 2026, versus US$21.22 billion over the equivalent months of 2025.

Bahlil said the government was pursuing a Rp165 trillion revenue goal to support public finances, including fuel subsidies. Reaching that level would yield an estimated Rp30 trillion in extra non-tax receipts to help address the fuel subsidy deficit, he said.

On fuel supplies, Bahlil told Prabowo that national reserves remained secure. Pertalite, the subsidised RON 90 petrol, had enough stocks for 16 to 18 days of demand, he said, while supplies of other fuels exceeded minimum government requirements.
