Indonesia needs investment to expand by around 7% to meet its 2027 economic growth target of 6%, Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara told investors at the Indonesia Investment Forum in London. The economic growth target is set out in the 2027 state budget.

In an official Instagram post cited on 6 November 2026, Suahasil said the government was working to support a favourable investment climate through the state budget, investment management agency Danantara and partnerships with private businesses.

Among the opportunities he outlined, PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang and Axelera Al were exploring the development of an artificial intelligence ecosystem with an investment value of US$56 million.

Suahasil also reported an agreement between PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (Perseroda) and BlackInk Co-operation Ltd covering the use of industrial land, with investment valued at US$77 million. Titanium Capital provided a letter of intent for a downstream tin industry project worth US$252.1 million.

He expressed hope that the investments would increase production capacity, generate employment and broaden economic opportunities. Other officials who visited the forum included Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti and Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, who also heads the Investment Coordinating Board.
