Indonesia exchange removes five stocks from November short-selling list
BCA, Astra International and Bumi Resources are among the removals, while 11 stocks also lose margin-trading eligibility.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has excluded five stocks from its short-selling eligibility list for November 2026, according to an exchange disclosure dated 28 October 2026. The companies are PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) and PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF).
The exchange also removed 11 stocks from its margin-trading list. These include PT Makmur Berkah Amanda Tbk (AMAN), PT Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML), PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN), PT Bank Oke Indonesia Tbk (DNAR) and PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA).
The remaining margin-list removals are PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk (IMAS), PT Esta Indonesia Tbk (NEST), PT Brigit Biofarmaka Teknologi Tbk (OBAT), PT Putra Mandiri Jembar Tbk (PMJS), PT Sinergi Multi Lestarindo Tbk (SMLE) and PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (TRIM).
The November eligibility decision cites exchange rules governing margin and short-selling transactions and membership, alongside September decisions on short-selling restrictions and the resumption of such activity. Short selling resumed on 15 September 2026. BEI said the Financial Services Authority (OJK) had directed it to introduce short-selling financing in stages, taking account of infrastructure readiness, adequate risk mitigation and effective supervision.
