Da Nang and Vietjet sign five-year partnership on aviation and tourism
Vietjet plans to start routes from Da Nang to Osaka and Jakarta on 20 December 2026 as the city and airline broaden cooperation.

Da Nang’s municipal People’s Committee and Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company signed a partnership agreement on 4 November covering 2026–2030. The cooperation will span air links, tourism marketing, investment promotion and business connections.
Vietjet Vice President Do Xuan Quang said the airline was committed to expanding connectivity and supporting the city’s tourism, trade and investment activities. Vietjet plans to begin services linking Da Nang with Osaka in Japan and Jakarta in Indonesia from 20 December 2026. The airline has previously introduced direct services to India and helped organise charter flights from Russia and other Commonwealth of Independent States countries.
The partnership also includes promoting Da Nang’s attractions and tourism products through Vietjet’s media channels and services. Other areas of cooperation include market research, technology adoption, digital transformation, cultural and trade events, sustainable tourism and corporate social responsibility.
The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate annual action plans with the airline and municipal bodies, selecting priorities based on market demand and their respective tourism and operating plans. Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi called on local agencies to turn the agreed priorities into specific plans with clear responsibilities.
