CelcomDigi to manage fibre network at Kulim industrial expansion
The 15-year agreement with KTPC includes enterprise connectivity services for manufacturers moving into Phase 4A.

CelcomDigi Bhd has signed a contract covering fibre connectivity for Industrial Zone Phase 4A at Malaysia’s Kulim Hi-Tech Park. The agreement with Kulim Technology Park Corporation Sdn Bhd (KTPC) runs for 15 years and covers infrastructure management and services for manufacturers entering the zone.
Responsibility for managing the zone’s fibre ducts will fall to CelcomDigi. Tenants will be offered private leased lines, dedicated Internet access and IPVPN, alongside managed fibre services and managed dense wavelength division multiplexing.
Datuk Mohd Sahil Zabidi, KTPC’s group chief executive officer, said the arrangement would provide the infrastructure incoming manufacturers require for their operations. He linked the partnership to the park’s longer-term development, saying its expansion should also create conditions for investment and business growth.
The industrial park in Kedah dates to 1996. KTPC reported RM189.4 billion in cumulative investments up to the second quarter and a workforce of 48,813.
T. Kugan, CelcomDigi’s chief enterprise business officer, said the company aimed to give businesses a digital foundation for growth while supporting industrial development in Kedah and the Northern Corridor.
