Enterprise Singapore data put imports of electrical machinery and related equipment and parts from Vietnam at S$9.5 billion. The category grew 118.8% and represented 49.2% of Singapore’s imports from Vietnam.

The Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore said investment in AI and semiconductors in Singapore partly explained the growth. It said this investment was lifting electronics activity and demand for equipment and components supplied by regional manufacturing centres, Vietnam among them.
