Trade Expo Indonesia records US$22.94 billion in transactions
MSMEs accounted for US$510.79 million of the total, while the exhibition exceeded its US$10.5 billion target.

Transactions at Trade Expo Indonesia 2026 reached US$22.94 billion, Trade Minister Budi Santoso announced at an October 18 closing press conference in Tangerang. The result exceeded the government's US$10.5 billion target.
Budi said micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) generated US$510.79 million in transactions. The overall value was also above the previous year's US$22.68 billion, when the target was US$16.5 billion.
The Trade Ministry identified India and the Netherlands as the two largest markets by transaction value, followed by Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Japan. Leading export categories included jewellery, wood products, food and beverages, and agricultural and livestock products.
Indonesian trade representatives overseas began buyer outreach and business-matching activities a year before the exhibition. These efforts introduced prospective buyers to Indonesian exporters and their goods ahead of the event. Some buyers also toured factories and signed memorandums of understanding.
Aries Marsudiyanto, head of the Agency for Development Control and Special Investigations (Bappisus), said Indonesia had further export opportunities in MSME products and the digital and creative economy. He called for stronger negotiation, trade diplomacy and business-management skills, alongside cooperation between institutions.
