Techcombank said on November 2 that it plans to upgrade its core banking system, with work beginning at 7 pm on November 7 and ending at 8 am on November 8. The bank warned that some services could be unavailable during that period.

POS services will remain operational, as will credit card transactions where customers do not need to provide new card information. Techcombank said the work forms part of its technology strategy to improve service quality and operational performance.

The bank said the completion time could shift depending on conditions, with the upgrade potentially finishing before or after the scheduled deadline. It plans to communicate updates through its official channels and advised customers to carry out important transactions before work begins.

Techcombank also warned customers about fraud, including requests for personal details, passwords or one-time passwords, and suspicious links or files. It said its round-the-clock assistance lines are 1800 588 822 for Individual Banking and 1800 6556 for Business Banking.
