Singapore non-oil domestic exports grow 68.4% in September
Ship and boat structures helped drive non-electronics growth, while electronics shipments benefited from artificial intelligence-related demand.

Singapore’s September non-oil domestic exports (NODX) were 68.4 per cent higher than a year earlier, Enterprise Singapore reported on Oct 16. The increase followed August’s growth of 46.1 per cent.
Non-electronics provided the main impetus, with NODX in that category rising 54.2 per cent against 11.9 per cent in August. The agency linked the gain chiefly to uneven shipments of ship and boat structures.
Electronics NODX increased 107.6 per cent, compared with August’s 131.6 per cent rise. Enterprise Singapore cited strong artificial intelligence-related demand, with disk media products, integrated circuits and personal computers the main contributors.
Growth extended to most major markets. Hong Kong-bound NODX climbed 112.1 per cent year-on-year, supported by non-monetary gold, integrated circuits and specialised machinery. Taiwan recorded growth of 96.9 per cent, and shipments to the United States rose 73.2 per cent.
India recorded a decline of 5.6 per cent, following a 23.6 per cent increase in August. For January to September 2026, Singapore’s overall NODX growth was 27.6 per cent, the agency said.
