Four foreign investors signal interest in over RM3 billion for Selangor
UOB Malaysia facilitated letters of intent to Invest Selangor, with the documents presented at the state's international business summit.

Selangor attracted more than RM3 billion in potential investment from four foreign investors, with letters of intent presented on 14 October at the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.
The letters, facilitated by UOB Malaysia to Invest Selangor, indicated interest in exploring opportunities in the state. They came from Shenghui Biotechnology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Galaxy Data Centre, XTC New Energy and Wuxi Weifu Environmental Catalysts Co. Ltd.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari told the gathering that the state wanted businesses seeking long-term partnerships and Malaysian talent, rather than cheap land or labour.
He said Selangor was pursuing front-end integrated circuit design, electronic design automation and intellectual property creation. Pointing to the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park in Puchong, he said the state was building incubators, supplying high-performance computing infrastructure and upgrading local engineers' skills.
Hosted by the Selangor State Government and organised by Invest Selangor Bhd, the summit runs from 14 to 17 October 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. It has 526 booths and aims for 50,000 visitors and potential transactions worth RM8 billion.
The summit's Hosted Delegates Programme involves 110 delegates. A further 188 speakers are due to participate in nine specialised conference programmes.
