Indonesia’s IHSG share index fell to 4,994.43 by 11.02 WIB on 3 November 2026, losing 102.40 points, or 2.01 per cent, during the morning trading session. The decline took the benchmark back below 5,000.

The market had started higher, with the index opening at 5,126.53 and reaching an intraday peak of 5,143.58 at around 09.00 WIB. It subsequently turned lower, with a brief recovery towards 5,080 giving way to further selling.

By 10.00 WIB, the benchmark was trading around 5,020. A small bounce towards 5,040 failed to hold, and the index broke below 5,000 shortly before 11.00 WIB, reaching a session low of 4,993.20.

CNBC Indonesia attributed the weakness to declines across several sectors. Infrastructure shares fell 3.1 per cent, while basic materials lost 2.8 per cent and energy dropped 2.7 per cent. Stocks weighing on the benchmark included Telkom Indonesia, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Astra International, Barito Pacific and Bumi Resources Minerals.

Trading volume stood at 102.03 million lots, with turnover of Rp3,922.83 billion.
