Indonesia recorded Rp3,923.2 trillion in realised investment during President Prabowo Subianto's first two years in office, Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani said. The investment generated 5,485,944 jobs, according to the minister.

Rosan, who also heads the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), presented the figures after a limited cabinet meeting in Jakarta on 19 October. He said the tally covers the fourth quarter of 2024 and runs through the third quarter of 2026.

Domestic direct investment totalled Rp1,998.7 trillion, exceeding the Rp1,924.5 trillion recorded in foreign direct investment. By location, areas outside Java received Rp2,031 trillion, representing 51.8 per cent of the total. Java accounted for Rp1,892.2 trillion, or 48.2 per cent.

Rosan said the government remained focused on attracting investment in downstream industries to support broader industrialisation. It is integrating licensing across 28 ministries and agencies as part of efforts to simplify bureaucracy. He said the aim was to give investors greater legal certainty and more predictable licensing timeframes.
