Indonesia’s government intends to restart Bantuan Subsidi Upah (BSU) payments for an October-to-December period, according to CNBC Indonesia. The planned monthly subsidy is Rp300,000, giving each recipient Rp900,000 across three months.

The projected number of beneficiaries is 13.3 million workers, and the estimated budget is Rp12 trillion. The report said detailed arrangements for BSU 2026, including its official eligibility conditions, were not yet available.

Earlier rounds required beneficiaries to hold Indonesian citizenship, documented by a national identification number, and to be active members of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. The wage ceiling was Rp3.5 million a month. Civil servants and members of the military or police were ineligible, as were recipients of other social assistance, such as Program Keluarga Harapan, at the time of payment.

CNBC Indonesia also described a digital status-checking facility in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s JMO (Jamsostek Mobile) application for Android and iOS. Users submit personal details through its BSU eligibility feature to view their status. Where account information is missing, the application allows users to add their bank’s name, an active account number and the account holder’s name.
