IHSG rebounds from early losses to end first session up 0.95%
Trading turnover reached Rp6,378.1 billion as 391 stocks advanced, while Indonesia's exchange prepared to exclude highly concentrated shares from the index.

Indonesia's IHSG share index finished the first trading session on 2 November 2026 at 5,105.20, gaining 48.15 points, or 0.95 per cent, after recovering from an early decline. Trading volume totalled 198.2 million lots, with turnover of Rp6,378.1 billion.
The index started at 5,039.54, down 0.35 per cent, and subsequently fell to 4,981.52, a decline of 1.49 per cent. It reversed direction after 10am Western Indonesian Time and reached 5,125.74, up 1.36 per cent, before easing towards the session's close.
Indonesia Stock Exchange data showed 391 shares gaining ground, compared with 315 declining and 257 unchanged.
The exchange will exclude shares classified as having High Shareholding Concentration (HSC) from the IHSG calculation starting on 2 November 2026. Its president director, Jeffrey Hendrik, said the change would not automatically cause a sharp index rise or fall, with the excluded shares' weightings redistributed among other constituents.
Indonesia's statistics agency, BPS, was also due to publish October inflation figures on 2 November. A CNBC Indonesia survey of 12 institutions forecast monthly inflation of 0.24 per cent and annual inflation of 3.25 per cent.
