Danantara rules bar private golf during work hours for state firm leaders
The guidelines also ban the use of company money or facilities for hobbies, sport and personal activities unrelated to official duties.

Directors and commissioners at Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises must keep personal pursuits, including golf, outside working hours under conduct rules issued by investment management body BPI Danantara. Such activities must not interfere with company operations or performance.
Dated 31 October 2025, circular SE/002/DI-DAM/DO/2025 sets standards for management conduct and professionalism. It prohibits spending company funds or using company facilities for hobbies, sport or private activities that have no direct connection to official duties. The guidelines also cover accommodation, air travel and social media use.
Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria discussed the restrictions in Jakarta on 26 October 2026. He said limiting management benefits was intended to build professionalism at state-owned companies and prevent executives from using their positions to justify excessive perks.
Dony said the arrangements addressed what facilities were permitted, requirements for flights, and provisions involving aides and escorts. He described the measures as steps towards ensuring that management across state-owned enterprises carried out their responsibilities professionally.
