Nearly 400 new enterprises established through Central Java training
The Industry Ministry says its nationwide programme includes equipment distribution, while existing businesses can receive certification and market-access support.

Training in the Central Java districts of Banyumas and Cilacap helped nearly 400 enterprises get started, according to Indonesia’s Industry Ministry. The programme ran from 30 October to 2 November and focused on developing small industrial businesses.
At the closing event in Banyumas, ministry director Budi Setiawan put participation at almost 400 people. He said the initiative was intended to develop entrepreneurs and help them become small-scale industrial operators.
Setiawan said 40 comparable programmes had been organised across Indonesia in 2026, averaging 300 to 400 participants each. Some attracted between 400 and 500 people. The ministry worked with the House of Representatives’ Commission VII, with activities including the distribution of production equipment suited to each region’s industrial potential.
For established businesses, assistance covers technical support, product design training, certification and access to markets. Setiawan said the ministry had also supported exhibition participation by small and medium-sized handicraft and apparel enterprises during 2026.
Certification support includes halal and batik certification, as well as compliance with Good Cosmetics Manufacturing Practices (CPKB). The ministry also assists entrepreneurs in obtaining a Business Identification Number (NIB). Setiawan said registration places businesses in the ministry’s database, allowing later programmes to be matched to their needs.
Local government agencies are working with the ministry to identify firms requiring help and determine further assistance, particularly in chemicals, apparel and handicrafts, he added.
