Brookland Group & Partners Limited completed an initial investment in Vietnamese recycled-packaging maker Miza Corporation on October 21, under an equity arrangement valued at up to US$5 million. The Dubai- and Singapore-based firm bought shares held by an existing shareholder.

Brookland plans to increase its holding through further stages, provided agreed transaction conditions are met. The firm also aims to speed up investment and eventually put more than the initial US$5 million into supporting Miza’s expansion plans.

Established in 2010, Miza processes waste paper into packaging materials and produces items including corrugated boxes and kraft paper bags. Its principal manufacturing site is at Nghi Son in Thanh Hoa province. Management says additional production from the site’s new PM5 paper machine underpins its growth plans for 2026.

Miza reported about US$4.5 million in after-tax profit for 2025, an increase of more than 63 per cent, with revenue of about US$185 million. Profit after tax for the first half of 2026 reached about US$3.2 million, up 74.9 per cent. Shareholders approved a full-year 2026 profit target of about US$7.7 million.

Separately, Miza completed a stock dividend of 10 per cent on October 14 and approved an additional share issue at a 10:3 ratio. It is also nearing the end of negotiations with an institutional investor for a private placement involving 30 million shares, with pricing expected to exceed the market price.

Miza said funds raised would bolster its finances, improve its capital structure and support expansion.
