Bangkok extends flood compensation deadline to November 30
The city is adding registration capacity and offering instalment requests for ineligible government-housing residents required to return payments.

Bangkok residents seeking flood relief and compensation have until November 30, 2026 to apply, following an extension agreed by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), Deputy Bangkok Governor Tavida Kamolvej said.
The revised deadline covers applications through district offices, the Tang Rath app and claim.bangkok.go.th. Tavida said residents would have more time to check and prepare documents. Supporting paperwork can also be sent by email or through district-specific Line Official Accounts.
Additional service hubs have been established in Sai Mai, Khlong Sam Wa, Lat Krabang, Min Buri and Bang Kapi, the five districts handling the most claims. Sai Mai has increased its processing capacity to 60 computer terminals and is assessing locations for further walk-in services.
Khlong Sam Wa has opened a service centre at Wat Phraya Suren School. Tavida said afternoon queues were moving faster in several districts, including Lat Krabang, Don Mueang and Sai Mai, and urged residents to avoid arriving before dawn.
Separately, Tavida said checks after the initial relief transfers identified recipients living in government quarters, who are ineligible under government rules and Cabinet resolutions. District offices must recover those payments. Many recipients have returned the money through Krungthai NEXT or at district offices, she said.
Residents who spent the money on repairs and cannot afford immediate repayment can request instalments at their district office. The BMA will send requests to the DDPM for approval before arranging repayment schedules.
