Antam reports 34% profit rise, weighs possible share buyback
The Indonesian miner reported first-half 2026 revenue of Rp62.71 trillion, up 6.3% from a year earlier.

Indonesia’s PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk reported profit of Rp6.91 trillion for the first half of 2026, a 34% increase from Rp5.14 trillion a year earlier. The miner is also assessing a possible share buyback, corporate secretary Wisnu Danandi Haryanto said on 23 October.
Revenue reached Rp62.71 trillion, compared with Rp59.02 trillion in the corresponding period of 2025, an increase of 6.3%. Wisnu said the results provided a foundation for further business growth and that Antam would continue developing its business potential while maintaining responsible corporate governance.
The buyback option remains under review, Wisnu said. Antam is weighing market conditions, its financial capacity and funding priorities for operations and business development, particularly support for Indonesia’s downstream processing agenda. The company is considering a buyback among possible measures to optimise its capital structure.
Across its gold, nickel and bauxite businesses, Antam said it was focusing on higher-value operations and sustainable business development. Wisnu said any strategic decision would take account of shareholder interests and the company’s long-term business sustainability.
