Deadline for Yinson privatisation intentions extended to Nov 30
YLSB proposed an indicative RM2.35 per share, but the final price remains undecided and a transaction is not assured.

The Securities Commission Malaysia has extended to Nov 30, 2026, the deadline for three parties to state their intentions concerning Yinson Holdings Bhd’s proposed privatisation. The extension covers Yinson Legacy Sdn Bhd (YLSB), MISC Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), according to Yinson Holdings.
In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, Yinson Holdings cited the regulator’s letter of Oct 19, 2026. It said the extra time would enable further assessment and discussions among the parties.
Yinson Holdings cautioned that the discussions might not produce a completed scheme. Outstanding matters include evaluations, negotiations, definitive agreements, a final offer price and any other required approvals or conditions.
Separately, MISC said the proposed transaction would involve a scheme of arrangement using Section 366 of the Companies Act 2016. Its filing did not signal a firm privatisation intention, and neither an offer nor a transaction was certain.
The proposal originated with YLSB on Aug 28, with RM2.35 per share indicated as the offer price. Preliminary talks had involved MISC, EPF, its affiliates and other stakeholders.
