Wee Hur awarded NTU student housing project with almost 1,400 beds
The Singapore development will mainly house postgraduate students, with operations scheduled to begin by the 2029-2030 academic year, subject to approvals.

Wee Hur Holdings said it has won a project to develop and run student housing with almost 1,400 beds at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The developer and university are still finalising their agreement.
The company said NTU selected it through a competitive process involving expressions of interest and requests for proposals. Its responsibilities will span financing, design, construction, operations and maintenance, with the development undertaken through a special-purpose vehicle.
Building work is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2027. Operations are planned to begin by the opening of the 2029-2030 academic year, subject to NTU and regulatory approvals. Most beds will be for postgraduate students, while a limited allocation will serve undergraduates.
The approximately 6,000-square-metre undeveloped plot is beside 30 Nanyang Link on NTU’s main campus. Subject to the definitive agreement, the project vehicle will be granted a land lease lasting an initial 20 years, with two options to extend it by five years each.
Wee Hur expects the completed facility to be the largest privately developed and operated student accommodation project on a Singapore autonomous university campus. Singapore will become the third market for its student housing business, after Australia and Hong Kong.
