Vung Ang LNG project seeks bidders for US$914.692 million contract
The tender is expected to close on November 6, although interested contractors have asked for additional preparation time.

An international tender is seeking bidders for a US$914.692 million engineering, procurement and construction contract at the planned Vung Ang LNG terminal in Vietnam’s Ha Tinh province. Bidding is expected to close on November 6.
The package specifies a lump-sum agreement covering 36 months of implementation. Submissions will be handled offline through a one-stage procedure using two envelopes. Several prospective bidders have requested extensions, including one seeking 70 additional days, until January 15, 2027, to prepare its documents.
Technical documents identify a site within the Vung Ang Economic Zone linked to the Son Duong sea area. They specify maximum annual throughput of three million tonnes of LNG and port infrastructure capable of handling LNG vessels up to 123,000 DWT.
The development includes facilities to receive, store and regasify LNG, alongside marine works, pipelines, metering and control equipment, and fire protection. It is intended to supply the Quang Trach II, Quang Trach III and Vung Ang III power stations, together with industrial production in the region.
Information on the National Bidding Network puts the combined value of the project’s 14 packages at US$923.343 million. Other fourth-quarter contractor searches cover a US$4.75 million mine-clearance and explosive-ordnance disposal package, US$2.28 million for site preparation and levelling, and US$1 million for international quality registration.
