Vietnamese and Cambodian companies presented their products, services and capabilities at a forum where they explored distribution arrangements, investment opportunities and joint ventures. Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu encouraged participants to share market information and pursue partnerships.

Vu pointed to five cooperation priorities that Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung had outlined at the Cambodia-Viet Nam Business Forum on October 9. These covered policy coordination and simpler administrative procedures, alongside improvements to border facilities, logistics and transport infrastructure. The Ho Chi Minh City-Moc Bai-Bavet-Phnom Penh expressway was among the projects cited.

The priorities also included agricultural value chains and processing, with attention to standards and traceability; closer banking ties, payments in local currencies and cross-border QR payments; and cooperation in digital transformation, e-commerce, renewable energy, electricity grid connections, tourism and workforce training.

Cambodia Chamber of Commerce Vice President Tan Monivann called for wider collaboration in sectors including agriculture, forestry, construction and digital technology. He said Cambodia’s natural resources and growing market opportunities could complement Vietnam’s experience, technology and production capacity, helping businesses improve supply chains, create higher-value products for new export markets and generate jobs.

Monivann said the chamber was prepared to help companies make connections, exchange market information and maintain dialogue. Vu said the Vietnamese embassy would keep working with agencies, local authorities, associations and businesses to support commercial links and help tackle barriers to cooperation.
