Malaysia's Ministry of Finance said 10 credit reporting agencies had completed registration certificate renewals for 2026/2027 under Section 14 of the Credit Reporting Agencies Act 2010 (Act 710). Each certificate runs for one year, beginning September 15, 2026, and ending September 14, 2027.

The agencies include CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd, Experian Information Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Credit Bureau Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Malaysia Sdn Bhd and FIS Data Reference Sdn Bhd.

The remaining agencies are Omesti BI Sdn Bhd, CTOS Basis Sdn Bhd, MARC Data Sdn Bhd, Mydata Infomatica Sdn Bhd and One Future Solutions Sdn Bhd.

The ministry also warned that operating a credit reporting business without registration and a certificate issued by the Registrar Office of Credit Reporting Agencies is an offence under Subsection 11(2). A conviction can carry a maximum fine of RM1 million, imprisonment of up to three years, or both.

Members of the public can use the ministry's credit reporting portal to lodge complaints, make enquiries or offer suggestions about credit reporting.
