SQAI considers RM300 million IPO in first quarter of 2027
The Malaysian semiconductor company may target a valuation of up to RM1.5 billion, though the offering’s size and timing remain undecided.

SQ Advanced Interconnect (SQAI) is weighing an initial public offering that could raise about RM300 million during the first quarter of 2027, according to people with knowledge of the discussions cited by Bloomberg.
The semiconductor firm, based in Penang, Malaysia, may pursue a listing valuation of up to RM1.5 billion. The people requested anonymity because the information is private and said discussions were continuing, with both the amount raised and the schedule subject to change.
A draft prospectus sets out plans for a sale of about 337.5 million shares. SQAI intends to direct the proceeds towards expanding facilities, research and development, and other uses. The company also operates a plant in China. Its spokesperson declined to comment.
Another Penang company, SkyeChip, raised RM352 million in Malaysia’s third-largest IPO of 2026. Its stock gained 151 per cent on its May trading debut and has risen about 230 per cent since the offering.
