Siam Piwat announces ฿10 billion plan for ICONPHUKET
Scheduled to open in 2029, the Phuket destination would be the developer’s first project outside Bangkok.

A planned ฿10 billion investment by Siam Piwat will bring shopping, tourism and entertainment facilities to Phuket’s Thalang district. The company said ICONPHUKET is scheduled to welcome visitors in 2029 and serve as the main attraction within CV Group’s ฿50 billion Synthesis Ark Phuket development.
Siam Piwat projects daily visitor numbers of 80,000 to 100,000 after opening. Its employment estimate is 50,000 to 80,000 jobs over the period spanning construction and full operation. Both forecasts come from the company.
The developer plans 12 attractions but has yet to explain what each will offer. It said entertainment and attractions would take up a third of ICONPHUKET, with green areas and outdoor spaces making up more than 40 per cent.
Chief executive Chadatip Chutrakul identified the scheme as Siam Piwat’s first development beyond Bangkok. The company said consultations had involved business associations, government agencies and local communities. It also plans to represent the culture, products and identity of 14 provinces in southern Thailand.
The surrounding Synthesis Ark Phuket development occupies 491 rai in Si Sunthon subdistrict, on Thepkrasattri Road between Phuket Town and Phuket International Airport. CV Group plans residential, hotel, office and retail uses, alongside education, lifestyle and wellness facilities.
Nexus, the first district planned for the wider scheme, will include a hotel and offices, plus space for retail, lifestyle and wellness activities. The first phase of Synthesis Ark Phuket is due to be completed by 2032.
