Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) said its subsidiary Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd has signed farm-out agreements with three international partners for the joint development of the SK410B Lang Lebah and B14 gas fields off Sarawak.

The partners are TotalEnergies, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co (KUFPEC) and PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP). TotalEnergies will take over as operator of both fields when the agreements are completed, subject to the relevant regulatory approvals.

Under each production sharing contract (PSC), TotalEnergies will hold 30 per cent, while PTTEP and KUFPEC will each have 25 per cent. Petronas Carigali will retain a 20 per cent interest.

Petronas said the arrangements aim to bring development planning for the two fields together while keeping their respective PSCs. It expects the approach to improve coordination of infrastructure and facilities, support gas resource monetisation and speed up project delivery.

A ceremony marking the agreements took place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Nov 1 alongside ADIPEC 2026. Petronas said the collaboration supports its efforts to develop Malaysia's gas resources responsibly and strengthen long-term energy security.
