PAM Jaya holds IPO consultation with Indonesian regulator
OJK says the next steps depend on the Jakarta water utility’s readiness, after its directors sought guidance on the listing process.

Jakarta water utility Perumda Air Minum Jaya (PAM Jaya) has consulted Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) over plans to go public. Hasan Fawzi, OJK’s chief executive for capital markets, financial derivatives and carbon exchange supervision, said further progress depended on the company’s readiness.
Speaking to journalists in Jakarta on 12 October 2026, Hasan said PAM Jaya’s directors had met the regulator, which provided guidance on how the listing process works.
The utility is among the city-owned businesses Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung wants to take public. At a parliamentary Commission II meeting on 30 April 2025, he outlined plans for 2–3 such enterprises to join the Indonesia Stock Exchange during his leadership, naming PAM Jaya and PT Bank DKI.
Pramono said PAM Jaya had 2.5 million household customers and supplied 70 per cent of Jakarta’s clean-water needs. He saw substantial potential if the company could make improvements and expand its customer base to 3 million, or fulfil 100 per cent of the city’s clean-water needs.
