OJK seeks market participants’ views on transparency and investor confidence
The discussions at the Indonesia Stock Exchange included analysts, economists and financial influencers, with share ownership disclosure among the issues covered.

Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) held talks with analysts, economists and financial influencers at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, seeking their views on strengthening market integrity and public confidence. Other capital market regulators also joined the discussions, OJK said in a statement dated 19 October 2026.
OJK board of commissioners chair Friderica Widyasari Dewi said open, constructive exchanges would help regulators identify concerns requiring attention as they worked to strengthen the domestic capital market.
Hasan Fawzi, OJK’s chief executive overseeing capital markets, financial derivatives and carbon exchanges, said regulators and market participants were committed to continuing accelerated market reforms. These included greater transparency and better communication with global index providers and investors, alongside follow-up on feedback.
Indonesia Stock Exchange development director Iding Pardi said transparency efforts included broader disclosure covering share ownership, investor classifications and concentrations of shareholdings.
The discussions also addressed enforcement. OJK had announced administrative fines totalling Rp2.1 trillion on 16 October 2026 against parties involved in capital market violations. Hasan said the penalties arose from OJK examinations and were not solely a reaction to recent market developments.
Hasan also said feedback from market participants, economists and financial influencers was needed to develop objective, fact-based recommendations that OJK and self-regulatory organisations could promptly act upon.
