Krungsriayudhya Card and JCB International plan to introduce the Krungsri JCB Ultimate Credit Card in Thailand on 1 November. The companies are targeting consumers with interests in Japanese travel, food, fashion and culture.

The companies say the card will award five times Krungsri Points for spending at selected Japanese fashion brands in Thailand, Japanese restaurants globally and purchases in Japan paid in yen. Regular spending earns one point per ฿25, while two points can be exchanged for one Japan Airlines (JAL) Mileage Bank mile.

Travel benefits include up to ฿20 million in insurance coverage for trips within Thailand and abroad, alongside lounge access in Asia, Europe and Hawaii under the JCB Airport Lounge Service. Fuel spending at Thailand’s Bangchak stations can receive cashback of up to 5%. Conditions apply to the rewards and cashback.

The launch adds to a partnership that already offers the Krungsri JCB Platinum. Krungsriayudhya Card is the credit card business of Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri), which belongs to Japan’s MUFG Group. JCB says approximately 72 million merchants in 160 countries and territories accept its cards.
