Singapore-listed Keong Hong Holdings has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Malaysia-based Helios Photovoltaic to examine possible joint projects. Areas under consideration include solar power, other renewable energy, battery storage, data centres and associated infrastructure.

The companies plan to evaluate opportunities across Malaysia, Cambodia, Kazakhstan and the European Union, as well as other markets. The proposed partnership would bring together Helios’ renewable energy and solar development expertise and Keong Hong’s engineering, construction and project management capabilities to assess commercial viability.

Possible roles for Keong Hong include joining projects as a collaboration partner or undertaking EPC or EPCC contracts. Its involvement remains conditional on additional assessment and agreement between the companies. Definitive agreements would be signed where applicable.

Keong Hong CEO Owen Xu said the company would be selective in reviewing opportunities where its expertise could contribute, including potential EPC and EPCC work.
