Indonesia exchange sets Rp1 downside limit for shares priced at Rp11–Rp14
The revised trading limit applies from 20 October to 31 December 2026, following a review of the 7 per cent rule introduced on 19 October.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has replaced its 7 per cent lower auto-rejection limit with a fixed Rp1 limit for shares priced between Rp11 and Rp14, according to an exchange statement dated 20 October 2026.
The change follows an assessment of the asymmetric 7 per cent downside limit introduced on 19 October 2026. BEI said the adjustment was intended to support orderly, fair and efficient trading and improve price formation.
The revised rules cover securities on the main, development and new economy boards. Securities on the acceleration and special monitoring boards remain subject to the auto-rejection limits applicable to those boards.
The exchange listed the following upper and lower limits by share-price band:
- Rp1–Rp10: both limits remain Rp1.
- Rp11–Rp14: the upper limit remains 35 per cent; the lower limit changes to Rp1.
- Rp15–Rp200: upper limit of 35 per cent and lower limit of 7 per cent.
- Above Rp200 to Rp5,000: upper limit of 25 per cent and lower limit of 7 per cent.
- Above Rp5,000: upper limit of 20 per cent and lower limit of 7 per cent.
The rules take effect on 20 October 2026 and run until 31 December 2026. BEI will review their implementation before deciding whether to continue them.
