The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has reduced its lower auto-rejection threshold from 15% to 7% for shares priced above Rp10, effective 19 October 2026. The change covers trading on both the regular and cash markets.

BEI said the revised limits fall under Exchange Regulation Number II-A on equity securities trading. The framework is asymmetric: the threshold for downward price movements has been tightened, while the limits on upward movements have been retained.

The thresholds differ according to share price:

  • Rp1–Rp10: both upper and lower limits remain Rp1.
  • Rp11–Rp200: the upper limit remains 35%, while the lower limit falls to 7%.
  • Above Rp200 up to Rp5,000: the upper limit stays at 25%, with a lower limit of 7%.
  • Above Rp5,000: the upper limit remains 20%, while the lower limit is now 7%.

In its statement dated 19 October 2026, BEI said the policy would apply through 31 December 2026. The exchange will review the rules in light of market developments, and the provisions may change following that assessment.
