Igloo plans to double Philippine distribution partnerships
The Singapore-based insurance technology company also uses AI in claims processing and product development, its Philippine country manager said.

Igloo aims to double its roughly 20 distribution partners in the Philippines over the next two to three years as it expands services and ties with digital platforms, according to Philippine country manager Ramjit Lahiri.
Lahiri told The Philippine Star that Igloo operates as an insurance broker in the country, using technology to offer cover where consumers carry out transactions. The Singapore-based company works with businesses to incorporate insurance into e-wallets, e-commerce services and ride-hailing platforms.
He said the company uses AI to improve staff productivity and customer services, with claims processing a key focus. Igloo aims to simplify claims by using data-based assessments to validate documents and support decisions on whether to approve or reject them.
Lahiri said document checks in the Philippine market often involve repeated exchanges between claimants and agents. He added that Igloo also applies AI to product design and the development of application programming interfaces, helping integrate insurance offerings into its partners’ platforms.
