A development planned for northern Ho Chi Minh City has received approval for a detailed zoning plan at 1:500 scale, providing for around 37,620 homes. The municipal administration has named Delta Joint Stock Company as the investor for the project, which will cost over ₫64 trillion.

A representative of the city's Department of Construction told Tuoi Tre that administrative formalities were being finalised so building work could begin in December. The city's target for finishing the social housing component is 2028, while completion of the whole development is scheduled for the end of 2030.

The zoning plan provides for 43 blocks, with buildings capped at 30 floors, and a population of 67,645. The housing allocation comprises 26,004 social homes to be sold, 3,960 social homes for rental and 7,656 commercial homes.

Planned facilities include schools, healthcare services, cultural and recreation spaces, commercial areas and public green space. The development is intended to redistribute residents and relieve infrastructure pressure in established inner-city areas. The site is close to Ring Road No. 3, between An Ha Canal on its western boundary and Lien Vung Canal to the east.

The municipal administration has instructed Delta to complete the required planning, land-use, investment, construction, environmental and fire-safety procedures before work starts. City agencies and local authorities have also been assigned duties to support delivery under the approved timetable and plan.
