Work started on October 15 on a new building at FPT Digital Technology Park in Hanoi. The project carries investment of over ₫1.31 trillion and has an implementation timetable of approximately 12 months.

The facility will provide approximately 70,000 square metres of space, with capacity for around 6,000 people working in digital technology and supporting roles. The park is situated in Hanoi’s Phu Dien and Tay Tuu wards.

Hanoi People’s Committee Vice Chairman Truong Viet Dung said the city expected more than completion on schedule. He called for a technology hub able to draw skilled workers, master advanced technologies and generate economic value, with involvement from businesses, universities, research institutions and overseas partners.

Dung also urged FPT to bring its engineers, technical expertise, global connections and workforce training capabilities to the project. The planned ecosystem aims to support research, development, testing and practical use of technologies including semiconductors, AI, unmanned aerial vehicles and quantum technology.

FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa credited Hanoi’s leadership and local agencies with helping overcome obstacles so construction could begin. He said the project would focus on developing people, knowledge and technology for the capital’s socioeconomic development.
