A proposed integrated data centre hub is among the investment opportunities being pursued by the East Coast Economic Region Development Council and TGA Solutions Sdn Bhd through a partnership focused on Pahang. The partners aim to attract investors to Pekan's Tanjung Agas Industrial Area (KPTA).

A memorandum of understanding provides for joint efforts to identify investors, promote opportunities and establish strategic partnerships. It will also help facilitate prospective projects in manufacturing, services and high-impact industrial sectors.

Digital-economy opportunities are another focus. The proposed hub could serve as an anchor for related activities in cloud computing, telecommunications, engineering services, energy supply, artificial intelligence and supporting industries. The development could also reinforce local supply chains and draw technology-driven investment to KPTA.

The industrial area's existing basic infrastructure and key development approvals provide a foundation for expansion. The initiative is expected to advance Pahang's economic development goals, improve its competitiveness in attracting investment and support sustainable growth.
